i was wondering wat cams to run for my fj20turbo and wat kind of ajustable cam gears. brand, rev range prices and where to get them from as it is hard to find parts for the fj and i was told a a z24 out of a navara block fits into a fj block with of set pinions? is this tur or do u need a proper crank?

i can give you the nice paper weight of the Z24 crank if you want,we heard the same story,pulled a crank out of a Z24 motor and found not in a million years is this even close to fitting,unless we had the wrong model Z24 that came out of a 1987 navara ute,as with cam gears i had to make my own ones but you do see them for sale around the web,be prepared to pay as they are quite expensive.

cheers ill give him a call in the next couple of days once ive got some more info is he a business? as for the ajustable gears on std cams wats the difference there in power and revs? and for the crank a z24 is a no go so is a stroker worth puttin in a fj? i heard u need off set pinoins or can u get the right lenght rods to suit this mod?

It all comes down to money, you can get custom rods made. I went the other way, I had 2.2 lt stroker crank made up, stayed with the standard rods and had custom pistons made up to suit - far cheaper : )
