Hi all,

I was just wondering what the highest FJ20 engine number anyone has seen ? I have an engine here which is late model DR30 RSX, with an engine number over 57400, meaning that Nissan made at least 57,400 of these things. This engine also has the letter "R" stamped in front of the number itself, so it is R574xx. Has anyone else seen a FJ20 with "R" preceding the engine number and if so, any ideas what it means ? Could it be "R" for "racing" and the factory made a short run of different blocks at the end of the model life while they were being raced in group A ? The colour of the iron in the block seems to be a bit different to the other ones I have seen .

Any ideas ?

No , this block was in very good condition, the cast iron looked very different to some of the earlier blocks I have seen (engine numbers 10,000 to 40,000) The number was FJ20 R 5xxxx

Hi Ben, one of the blocks that i have is the number 047614;
Btw do you know what are the differences between the S110 and the DR30 intake manifolds?
From looking at the pics they seem to be the same, ut i've heard that they aren't...
By the way do you have something for sale?
Regards

I have a 54980 engine number. 1 thing i noticed is the head has a 3 cast under the r30 not a two and one like most other fjs. Anyone else got a 3 cast into the head ?
