Im looking at rebuilding my stock Fj20 I currently have a GTX3076 with .63 rear and HKS 272 cams I will be running a Haltech Ecu with flex fuel set-up and run it 99% of the time on E85 and I'm thinking of using 9.5:1 pistons instead of the 8.0:1 to give it a bit more punch off boost and it will make more power on less boost.

I understand I wont be able to run as boost as high as you would if I ran standard comp but other then that I cant see any downsides other then that unless I'm missing something ?

My aim is to have 300kw atw would this be achievable with this set-up ?

That set up would make 300rwkw easily. I cant see any downsides

Mines making 280rwkw at 22psi on 98 pump fuel with similar compression pistions, GT3082 and a 20 year old Haltec. The motor is stock apart from that.

With e85 you can wind the boost up
