First of all, please congratulate Katy for me (I am on the road right now and don't have her email address handy).
Secondly, I think it's important for people to realize that a person can be successful in athletics, like your daughter has been in soccer, without losing perspective on what is really important. Knowing Katy, I am fairly confident in saying that she probably has been even more successful in her academics than she has in her soccer career. Plus, if I remember correctly, she spent this summer in DC interning so she also realizes that there is more to life than just soccer and schoolwork. It's people like this that deserve recognition.
Anyway, I have to go get ready for a game but am glad that I could have had a very small influence in the life of Katy.
