If your goal is to be a select head coach, then you should get at least a USSF D or National Youth license.
The intrinsic worth of any course is really based on who teaches them and if they put the time into it (and your effort of course). I've heard from some of my colleagues that the D course is much tougher to pass than it used to be.
Another route is to take the courses offered by the NSCAA. These are non competitive, but very well done, according to some of my friends. The NSCAA convention is also worth the time.
I look for any opportunity I can to be around master coaches, particularly when they are at work. I almost never fail to learn something. | |
