Chicken or the egg. Give me defense any day.
Bob Gansler and Steve Sampson both tried offense and look where that got them.
Bora worked in defense also and we finally got to 2nd round.
I am continually amazed at what I consider unforgivable defensive errors by the professionals. I attribute that to the overemphasis on offensive play at rec, free play, travel, and professional. The absolute amateur mistakes of chasing the ball, losing their mark, etc. is unforgivable.
Teach defense 1st, then ball mastery. My defenders can stop the best ball handlers that come their way. The only way to score on us is by ball movement by thru balls, set plays, adn lucky shots.
Two sides to most every story. I will take defense 1st forever. | |
