Must have extreme patience at this age and be very caereful with your words. They tend to take what you say literal.
One drill I use when they tend not to spread out is a 40 yard wide x 50 yard long grid. At each end I make a 6 foot goal in each corner. Accordingly, each team has 2 goals they can score on. If they are bunched up left it is wise to try and score on right and vice versa.
Something different and fun.
They must driblle through small goal to score.
