I was brought up that you carry the ball as long as you can before making a pass, this is not to say hog the ball. However, since I have been coaching I've been told by many observers that my team should be using only 2 touches and then dishing off the ball. To me that seems to be a waiste. If the outside forwards' job is to suck the defense out, doesn't it seem that carring the ball as far as you can until pressure is applied is what is called for?
