Response to Improving possession for U10 girls?

Hi,
I'm a soccer coach from the Uk and have been so for the past 9 years - since i was 16.
I play a game called Keep-ball, it has alot of variations dependant on the quality of the players. With girls i have tended to keep things moving as they don't seem to like to chop and change practice all the time. Ok what happens is this. In a rectangle you have 2 teams, the idea is that 1 team keeps the ball off of the other team for a set number of passes, if they suceed they get a point, if they fail the other team - who are trying to stop them gets a point. If the other team gets the ball they have to try and get the set number of passes and so on. You can restrict touches, not allow tackles, set any number of passes, include forfeits for poor passing, do pretty much whatever you like to liven it up. As i say there are alot of varaiations on this some more fun and more complex but as a starting point it should move you in the right direction. In it's basic form a soccer field is a big rectangle so anything you do try and keep in this shape. If you want anything else or other variations please drop me a mail i'd be happy to help.

Good luck
Tony
