Response to defense help & question

Things to think about: Are you getting beat centrally, wide, or a combination of both? This may suggest where you a getting bad support/balance. If you are playing a relatively flat zonal system, here are some things to consider: (1) zonal defenders don't go really flat till the top of the box or a fraction higher, (2) opposite side defenders have balance responsibilities. A lot of zonal systems don't care about the far attackers and pinch the opposite defender in to provide help on the over ball, (3) Keepers have to be more active in zonal systems. Are you setting high enough when the ball is in the middle third?
