I am quite confident in saying that the repeated diving your daughter has done is not the reason for the large disparity in height between your daughter and son. I am slightly over 6 feet 1 inches and am a few inches taller than anyone else in my family but that doesn't mean that the diving I did as a keeper is the result of my being taller than the others who were not keepers.
A good friend of mine who is both a doctor and the owner of a fitness center has had his son and daughter doing resistance training and working with light weights ever since they were 9 or so. In speaking with him in great detail about this, he has explained that it's not a case of people shouldn't work with weights till they they hit puberty or till they stop growing but rather a case of knowing what they can do and what they can't do given their age, body makeup and training. There isn't another person out there that I respect more than this person when it comes to this type of a subject so when he lets his own children do it, I am confident he knows what he is doing (however, both kids are short so that could be a result of this training or it could be the result of both of their parents being short and all 4 grandparents being short lol)
Have a great day!
