Response to nope

Medical degree related to treatment of either?
Psychoanalyst or Pyschiatrist with training in either?
School teacher having to deal with them all day?
Parent of just one ADD or ADHD child?

This is not a subject for amatuers. Medical doctors without specialized training in these should refer them to specialists.

Anyone that thinks this is controlled by enducement, harassment, or just good old concentration has no concept what is going on with these children.

Take it from someone that has lived with a child for 12 years that has ADHD - they must have proper counceling, medicine, and embellished care to act normal.

I have other ADHD kids on our soccer team that the parents refuse to get help. Guess what, they are the ones out of control and not my daughter who is medicated.

Boys tend to show attributes of this more than girls.

Those that consider this a discipline problem with an accompanying treatment of punishment have not researched this or understand it.

Yes, treat them a little different and seek help of the other players and their friends to help them know when they are out of line. Reminders are mandatory and they must NOT be treated equal to other players or kids.

This is an illness that requires special and sometimes extraordinary care.

Lots of books, net information on ADD and ADHD. As many as 1 in 7 children have ADD and/or ADHD. Too many people to remain in the dark on the subject.

I attribute this, ashtma, and tremendous expansion of children with allergies to the destruction of our ionisphere. Societal enhancements have severely impacted our lives.
