Lawrence my u-13 daughter broke her wrist at practice last Sunday. She is really taking it hard because we were training for our state tournament and now she is out for 6 to 9 weeks. It was broke that bad. We have try-outs the 21 and 23 this month and she will not be 100 percint but will be limited to what she can do. She is not a full time starter but has come a long ways in her devolpement. She did impress the coach with her play in the regionals. She played very very well better than some of the starters. Now we got this problem and both she and I are worried what will happen at try-outs. I need to know what you think we should do. The only thing she can't do is scrimmage and play in games. She can run(limited) and pass and shoot. Today is the first day she practiced with the team since Sunday and it was limited to passing drills and some shooting drills. I think the coach was amazed that she was even practing because she is in a sling for a week. What should we worry about or how should we handle it? I really need some good advice here.
Thanks Pat
