Portugal is much better than USA but - - -

that is not to say the USA will not pass into the 2nd round. They will go no further than 2nd round unless they miracuously develope some decent defenders. The "Goos" must ride the bench to win games. Too old, too slow, never been good enough for international level. Some decent defenders but none world class. Top 20 teams too good offensively not to dominate USA.

One caveat here. We have world class keepers that could play beyond expectation and prevent some otherwise lost games.

Exciting USA is in cup and Arena had exceptional vision in his picks. Just hope "Goos" was chosen for experience and for morale and not to play.

Best teams are too good, too big, and too physical for the USA.
