Mr. Dennis went on to LOSE millions of dollars in the late 80's and had to close down shop.
If you want a role model, check out Bruce Kovner. He started in the late 70's, borrowing $3000 on his credit card and has since run it up to over 1 BILLION! Don't believe me...check the latest issue of Forbes (the one that lists the 400 richest). Of course you can't learn much because the very successful traders keep their cards close to their vest. Hey, can you blame them?
Trading is NOT easy money. Very few can attain any sort of success in the long run. Remember what happened to old Jesse Livermore, another legend. Depressed and broke he committed suicide in the hat check room of the Sherry Hotel. Not a very nice way to go. |
