Me, it's the little or unsaid details that makes me go hummm!
What would be your opinion on the followings:
What's in it for the hotel owner that lets you put the stand in his entrance? and
Menus in a binder and secure the binder...not so sophisticated people will remove (tear)the menus from the binder...just like they tear white/yellow pages...
