Response to Jewelry business for sale

Guys and gals,

Here is more info on the Jewelry business I am trying to sell.

Patrick,

I have been doing the business for 1 year. I did get 30 locations at first. Some were great, some were good and some just did not sell. I had thought that my wife could do this, but our baby takes up a lot of time and it is hard for here to go around to locations twice a month replacing the sold earrings. So I had to do all the sales and replacing the earrings and racks twice a month. Also I have a fulltime job so it made it ever harder.

Business:

Twice a month I would go around to each location and replace the earrings and the racks. So the retailer's customers would see a fresh set of earrings. Then I clean the rack and fill it back up and send it to the next locations. Then follow that for all locations. It does not take that much time to do it. Also in the process, the retailer will give you the money for the earrings that have sold. The retailer gets 30% of sales. So if you sell the earrings for $8.95 - 30% you get $6.30 per earrings sold. The retailer loves this program, because they do not own the inventory and they are making 30% of sales, which is pure profit for them.

Warranty:

The earrings come with a life time warranty. All the customer has to do is mail it back to the warehouse and they will replace them for free. This way you do not have to get into replacing broken earrings. Also you can send back stock that does not sell to the warehouse and they will send you back new earrings that will move. You can send up to 8 dozen per month back to them. It is a real good program. The earrings are great great and look very nice. The best part about this business is, the earrings are impulse items. They just sell.

Price:

The price for all the earrings, racks and paperwork will be $9500.00. If you would like to test the waters I can sell you a few racks with earrings. The cost would be $300.00 for the rack, price tent, and earrings.

Website:

I have not made any money on the website yet. I have been working on getting it up and running. I can tell you the domain name http://www.fashionearrings.com is a great name. I was suprised that another company did not have this domain first. One way I was going to market the website, was placing a little card next to the rack with the website name on it. This way, customers could also go to the website to buy earrings. Also my wife was going to have a windows decal made for the back of her SUV with the website on it.

Flea Markets:

I am going to setup for the first week in December at our flea market in Birmingham, Al. This way I can sell more of them as well as market my website. I think you can make a killing at the flea markets.

That is pretty much the business. As you can see it can make a great income if it is worked. Lots of avenues to go after to sell them.

Thanks,

Paul Franks
