There are a number of States which use Social Security numbers for their drivers license number!
I would see this time and time again when obtaining information from my clients. A SS# being used on their ID card or drivers license. Many of my clients didn't even realize they could request a number - generated at random - from the Motor Vehicle Department, instead of the default SS#.
Take a quick look at your drivers license and go get it changed if your State is doing this. South Dakota is one of them.
