Great points Vondre'.
Here is the short story about how a friend of mine is now doing $300+GR a year. Right now he is pissed because his accountant told him to drop $40GR on a new truck or pay it in taxes! Nice problem.
Gary was once a Blue Cross/Blue Shield salesman. Later he quit and began to sell advertising while looking for that NEW opportunity.
He made great money selling on commissions, but the small hometown weekly he worked for was LOSING money. Didn't take Gary long to figure there was a bit of 'skimming' going on.
Gary offered to by it from the owner. Owner sold. Gary released all employees and hired new ones. Next month cleared a few thou in profits. Then he began buying other small hometown weeklies. Now G takes home 20-30 GR a month.
Don't get me wrong. He WORKED it and WORKED it well. He spends his time taking digital shots of cars at dealerships and used car places. He still sells ads to the grocery chains and retail businesses. Plus there is the small classifieds for a few bucks a month. Auction notices, estate sales, real estate ads, etc.
G does very well thank-you.
(Still a Budweiser man though!)
Hey it ain't as easy overall as I made it sound. There is work in everything and it cannot be avoided. The trick is to do what YOU like to do and make a few pesos doing so. Comprende?
Success and Regards... Mike
