Accident Guide Ideas...

Response to Accident Guide ... Revisited

Frank, I haven't done a thing with it, but every once in a while I've had some thoughts tweaking this idea. Here's what I think might work, IF....

Formatting the Accident Guide as a booklet, and just approaching local lawyers about purchasing these outright, in bulk. The booklet would be the lawyer's alone, no other advertising.

The question is: Would he BUY it? I don't know. Maybe Vondre has a thought on this. Do lawyers BUY marketing tools like this, or are they tunnel visioned marketers like the car dealers: TV ads & yellow pages only?

How the booklets could be distributed: How about getting some local car washes to give these out to their customers as a "free gift" when they come in? ("Would you like one of our free Accident Guides to put in your glove compartment?")

OR ... How about putting the booklets in the local newspaper, with a printed post-it note attached, saying "Put this in your glove compartment NOW, because someday you're going to need it!"

Now, how many folks would be riding around town with that lawyer's booklet in their glove compartment for the next umpteen years? Lots, I bet. You could sell thousands of booklets at a shot if you would include the whole newspaper distribution marketing deal as part of the package.

IF... lawyers would BUY. But that, I don't know.

You sales folks, what's your take on this?

Best Wishes,
Jim E
