Flesh it out. What is it you're trying to accomplish. Set yourself a goal to reach then begin the journey towards it.
Accident Guides. Why??? What for??? Who would use them??? Who would want them??? What are the benefits??? Where would they be distributed??? How would they be distributed???
Attorneys have available to them marketing courses just as accountants and chiropractors do. But like any of us, some will utilize them others will not.
Choose your target market accordingly.
Using them as a 'tips booklet', an attorney, insurance agent, chiropractor, auto body shop, etc. could have them 'Personalized" to be handed out and given away freely. Including their contact information and possibly a free one hour consultation (attorney), a financial review (insurance guy), a spinal check (chiropractor), or a discount (auto body guy).
Better yet, develop a manual on how this could be done in-house and sell the 'course' to ALL of the professions. With updates and additional information, you could very possibly have repeat sales.
Using MS Word, develop a template, or software program to produce personalized Accident Guides and "lease" it for a small annual fee.
Personalized 'Candy Wrapping' businesses are flourishing. Cherubs-n-Chocolate sell their 'template for $495. (At least the last time I checked they did.) They also use a well very known word software program.
Which would you rather do? Sell candy bars for a few bucks a pop? Or sell a $495 program on
SELLING candy bars???
Bill Myers used Lotus to develop a template tracking orders, billing, inventory , statements, and even used it to send letters to his customer base! A software program already in existence, but Myers created a template with it to
solve a specific problem and
serve a need.
I have owned it for years! $295.00 it set me back if memory still serves me correctly. A template and I'll bet you he sold more than that ONE to me!
In fact, Myers sold the product and web site to another person a few years back. It has advanced considerably with additional 'Add-on's' for yes you guessed it... Additional fees!!! Take a peek at
http://www.odpro.com and see what building a template with an existing program might do for you!
It sure beats selling leads and tip booklets in my opinion!
Don't get caught up in just making a few dollars and ending up missing the BIG picture. Vondre' just told us if someone wants to pay $695 he will write up a course on Accident Guides. Might be high and not sell though Vondre'! But certainly at the right price point it would!
There are a number of posts relating to the Accident Guide. This should tell many of you something. I know Alm sees it. He always does. There is a NEED developing right under our noses!
There is a MARKET asking questions.
There is a PROBLEM which needs SOLVED.
Decide best how to SOLVE the PROBLEM, FILL a NEED, and you're on your way. 1 + 1 =11!
Myers saw it too. Myers took an existing product, Lotus Suite, tweaked a template from it as any of us could have done - but didn't. Then turned his work into many thousands of dollars - THEN - SOLD the rights to it! 1 + 1 = 11!!!
Dave Vallieres does it as well.
There are many people who come here who show great promise. From their posts, to their answers to others seeking help. Many of you have talents you have not yet discovered. Or may not want to discover for some reason. I don't know. But many of you have a load of talent. Much more than I do, but you haven't unleashed it.
Learn to cross over the line and expand your thinking to include products about what
YOU are searching for.
I've recently done this with two "Tools" everyone has access to. A twist on them you might say. In the last issue of CCM eZine I wrote about 1 + 1
NOT always equaling 1. For some... 1 + 1 = 11.
It equals 11 for Vallieres.
It equals 11 for Myers.
It equals 11 for Marlon, Yanik, Powers, and a host of others.
Does it, or will it ever, equal
"11" for you???
Take your time and answer yourslef honestly. It could earn you a fortune.
Success and Regards... Mike
