Joseph. Never approach anyone at a funeral for your own personal gain. Selling life insurance is a great thing. Selling while solving needs is a great thing. Selling at a funeral? Is not a good thing.
Approach no one at a funeral unless you want your face handed to you. I never been in Ecuador. But judging by my Hispanic friends. This is not something you would want to do. Lot's of emotion. Lot's of passion. Walking up to the bereaved and asking,
"Say, while this is fresh on your mind. Why don't I swing by the casa maybe this evening at 7, or possibly Friday at 6? We can discuss some life insurance issues I think you might be interested in."
You might want to avoid and duck the old Aunts on the way out.
Seriously Joseph. Until you begin networking and developing relationships within your community. Becoming established as a person with knowledge on the matter. You will never get very far.
It's as if you're wanting to drive an Indy Race Car without first learning how to clutch-shift gears in your jalopy.
Compare it to those who want to become an Internet 'Guru' by having others "review" their sales page or web copy. Ain't gonna happen. People can see through that.
If you do not desire to do the basic work to become established as a professional. Then do something different. Life insurance sales is not for you.
What makes you seriously think you can approach someone at a funeral to sell life insurance?
Call your immediate sales manager and use the materials your company has to become knowledgeable. Use the materials to gain basic working knowledge of your chosen profession. Become a "Professional" first. I've visited the web site of your company and they have a 'Fast Track' program for their sales force. Use it! Use it! Use it! That is how I and every other life salesmen began.
Posting here will never gain you the experience you need to survive in the world of selling Life Insurance.
If you want to make money with affiliate programs. Yes. This is a good a place as any. If you want to make money on ebay. Yes. This is a good a place as any. If you want to make your thousands selling life insurance. I suggest you get your feet wet and jump in head first and learn the profession first.
Selling life insurance is a difficult, tedious, competitive thing. I know. I still do it from time to time.
You need to take the advice you have been given over and over and apply it before you go any further.
And for Pete's sake Joseph. Bring a covered casserole dish to the funeral. Don't approach anyone to sell life insurance while you're there.
Success and Regards... Mike
