Marketing Help And Ideas Needed For My Business Please

Hi everyone,
It has been awhile since I posted here. I had a nice profitable holiday season for my gift basket company. I also learned that there is only so much that one person can do! I have hired a commissioned salesperson to help me out with getting sales. It started as a temp thing just for Valentines Day sales. That has not been successful, but the salesgirl is very positive and wants to work and make sales! I have decided to start her off with marketing baskets to funeral homes. My problem is that I dont know if funeral directors usually purchase a gift for the survivors family or not. If they dont, how can I create a need so that they will want to?
I have tried doing some research on this, but there is not much info out there. I am trying to put some sample baskets together and price them appropriately. But i need to know how much the average funeral in NC costs so I can offer 3 priced baskets. I am thinking for those that do a small funeral, the director might buy a 25.00 gift. Med- a 50.00 gift and so on. I already put together a "lead list" of the 30 funeral homes in the area that we can call and market to. So how do I create a need in this particular industry? and also besides doing baskets, I offer marketing and promo items as well. A lot of the time, a company wont purchase baskets, but will order a bunch of marketing items from me. How do funeral homes generate business besides putting an ad in the church bulletins and in the phone book? I want to offer some type of ad specialty item but I have to know who they market to and who they get referrals from before I can do this.\
I know many creative minds visit this board, so can you offer me any suggestions?
