Here's another...

Discussing the merits of the "Biz Card Display Boards" here's yet another "plastic" program I created that is STILL being operated by a good friend.

It's called, "Table-Toppers".

These are what I call, "Plastic Propellers".

They are clear plastic stands, approx 7in high with 3 "legs" coming out from the center. When looking straight down you see 3 "legs", each "leg" being 4" long.

Each "leg" holds 3 biz cards up, on both sides so with each "leg" or panel, you can fit 6 biz cards or a total of 18 biz cards per "Table-Topper".

These sit in the middle of a restaurant table. Theres room for the catsup, salt, pepper and sugar to fit inside the "legs".

I operated this one when the Photo Biz Cards first came out in the early 80's.

I had NO problemo filling the 18 spaces in each restaurant. This is called "CAPTIVE AUDIENCE" advertising at it's best. Diners CANNOT MISS looking at the FULL COLOR PHOTOS of local business people.

I got advertisers to pay me so much a table per month with a one-time set up fee. The great thing about THIS one as compared to the "Display" boards was...you didn't have to keep replacing the cards. PLUS...I got MORE than I was getting for the "Displays".

Only 2 problems with this one was;
1) Taking the photos was a "bother". You had to take a bunch of shots...get the roll developed and then get the biz owner decide which shot they wanted.
This problem possibly could be solved by using a Digital Camera where you can show INSTANT shots and let them choose which shot they like RIGHT THERE...while you're shooting the shots. If you don't have to re-visit to get your client to choose the shot they like would eliminate a headache.

2) ONLY "family-type" restaurants would go for this. HOWEVER...there are 5 VERY BUSY...family-style restaurants in my town where I could see getting 18 businesses to advertise their cards in the "Table-Toppers" as "easy sales".

Think about it....Don Alm
