Response to PRESS RELEASE -- I suck big-time! |
|
Steve...
As much as I hate to do it, I'll need to 2nd and 3rd the writing of short articles for higher exposure factors.
Your PR, and those of many others, are done primarily for the exposure - aka FREE ADVERTISING! Then you must consider the possibility of how many thousands of people have read a pithy article on 'How to Write and Submit PR's', or 'Thousands of Dollars in Free Advertising Using PR's'. So now you find yourself in the same predicament as many others. Your PR is getting NO attention. But you did garner a phone call!)
Yes it most likely read like an Ad, because in all reality, it was an ad. An ad for your online auto site. Nothing wrong with that either, it was just caught and "filed" -and didn't get the ink.
Locally I've found when there is something going on in town, or nearby, which can be correlated to something I know about. I write a short article incorporating a few well placed references to myself and my services. These are generally published quickly since it is very topical, and closely related to what's going on within the community. The tag line is a clincher too.
Success and Regards... Mike | |
