I tried this business - here's what happened......

No business will pay $2,000 to share space with 14 other advertisers on 10,000 eraser boards. I tried charging 4 businesses $1500 to go on a lot of 10,000 boards and every business (eg car dealers, realtors, pizza places, etc.) I spoke to told me that was way too expensive for only 10,000 boards. They're able to run an ad for a few hundred dollars that goes out to close to a million houses in my area.
My experience, in short, was that the numbers just didn't add up to make it work. You also have to take into account the cost of distribution. My suggestion, if you're going to do it is to get hooked in with a local school district or college who will distribute them to their students for you, because you're looking at a postage cost of about $2.50 each if you mailed them out.
