That doesn't sound too expensive 2 me!

Response to I tried this business - here's what happened......

Well, $1500 for 10,000 boards turns out to be 15 cents a board. A bargain in my book. If they can do it cheaper, then fine, but I can't find these boards any cheaper than about 90 cents apiece, and that's for 25,000-50,000. And, my thinking was that, instead of mailers that get thrown away, these will be right in front of the recieving customers face on the fridg, for a lon, long time. It would be neat, and clean, and not all cluttered with magnets, and the whol idea of gving these away, perhaps door to door, was so that they would all be distributed. I would do it all myself, if the profit was high enough. Looking at Don's example, he had 14 on his. If 14 advertisers paid 15 cents a board, or $1500, like u suggest, that would eqaute to 21000 for 10,000 , with a cost to me of $9000 for a profit of 12,000. I distribute them free for to residents, if it took me a month, for that kind of profit. We could even do 25, or 50,000, but the cost would obviously go up. But, Like I said, I just wonder if anyone would be willing to pay. Thay'd hafta pay upfront. I really don't like the idea of giving them to a school to sell. Number one, who'd pay for them? If they were free, they would be more likely to get used, i.e., put on the fridge, and I know they would get distributed if I did it myself. I Do not liket he idea at all of mailing them. Cost tooo prohibitive. But distributing them door to door, that's cheap, for me. Time I've got. Money, that's tight. But, It's just an idea i was throwing aroud. If noone is willing to pay, then perhaps it's not a good one, so I'll keep thinking.

Brian
