Response to Reasonable Advertising Rates?

...The word 'Advertising' when shortened is actually 'Ad' - and not 'Add' as in Addition.

Seriously I doubt too many would be interested in advertising to a group of 350+. Unless the '+' actually represents a few thousand or more.

In all reality, instead of selling advertising in such a small newsletter, you should be promoting your own products and/or affiliate programs within it.

One of your most important assets within your own business will be your client list. Subscribers to your own eZine are actual clients of yours. Why submit them to advertising from other sources for a meager few dollars? When you can mine the list yourself time and time again.

From experience I can tell you people DO NOT want to be marketed to. People DO NOT want to be sold. People WANT TO be appreciated.

By giving people on your list what they crave and desire... They in return will give you what you desire. This is referred to as 'Reciprocity'.

Targeted advertising is commonly sold in a 'per thousand' basis. $X.XX per thousand of subscribers since only a very few per thousand will respond to an advertisement, much less complete the sale.

Your subscriber base is nowhere near large enough to adequately market to. But it is large enough for YOU to utilize, since it is YOU who has already established a relationship with them.

Diamonds in your own backyard. Don't give away your most profitable asset for a little more than $3.30 per month!

Success and Regards... Mike
