Are you a professional marketer? Need your precious advice.

I'm a web applications programmer and system administrator with a large experience.
I work part time for the last four years for several successfull internet advertising
companies and get not a bad salary, but it is not a treasure.

I thought how I can do some extra and decided to launch a web programming services
internet business.

Unfortunately my ad campaign hardly brings me 5 visitors a day and a requiest per week.

I have been asking for advice – how to get more visitors to my site - at several marketing
forums but almost all ideas they tell me are rather old or very difficult to put into practice.

I would appreciate it a lot if you share your personal experience
- on website effective traffic increasing
- on marketing web tools that really helped you
Also are welcome your ideas on how to:
a. get visitors
b. turn them into clients
