How do you want to be perceived?

Here's a "Tip" for those of you who are seeking success in Sales and Marketing. Never be a suck-up. If you have a belief, stick to it.

Now keep in mind when on the initial sales call the client is always correct. Bar none. You haven't earned the right to correct the client as of yet. Earn his/her trust and respect and you eventually will.

Anyone watching 'The Apprentice' realizes this concept. As soon as one of the contestants attempts to interrupt or correct The Donald, he runs them right over!

The, "I don't disagree at all, except for one thing" statements are weak. Either you do or you don't. Hey, not everyone you'll deal with will be a Donald Trump, but he is a Driver. And you'll be dealing with Drivers sooner or later. I've dealt with Drivers and other types enough to know what you can get away with and what you can't, and being wishy-washy isn't one of them.

Never disrespect someone whom simply doesn't agree with you, and never show disrespect for those you disagree with. Simply state your case and go from there.

Trump and others will have more respect for you by you standing up for what you believe in - than attempting to ride a fence.

Do what you do and do it to the best of your abilities. You, I, or no one else, owes anybody an explanation, apology or a reason for what we do.

Success and Regards... Mike
