Choosing Your Product Wisely

Response to searching for a high demand product - for Don Alm or anyone else reading

If I were to give you an example of a product which "sells like hotcakes" chances are, it would be the wrong product for you. Answer these questions for yourself:

1) What is it I enjoy doing the most?

2) How much time am I willing to invest into my "work"?

3) Am I willing to create and develop a product?

4) Would I rather market a product already created?

5) Do I have access to the target market?

6) Can this market be reached readily?

7) Can this market afford to pay for the product?

8) Does the market have an actual 'need' for the product?

9) Are there upsells or backend products which I can offer this target market as well?

and more importantly...

10) Would I enjoy it and for how long?

These are just a few of the important items you'll need to consider, unless you're simply "testing the waters" so to speak.

My advice to you would be, start some type of newsgroup/ezine and collect names. Names - and the permission to contact them - are far more valuable than any single product would be.

Gather these names from a field which you have the most interest in. A hobby. A work field or industry. Pets. Gaming. Gardening or even online marketing if your desire is to market to marketers.

With these names you can make offer after offer of products through ClickBank or some other affiliate program. In this manner you have absolutely little to no overhead depending upon how you set up your database of names, or the use of a contact/mailing list service.

I would say virtually any niche market has at least one area for which they'll purchase a solution for. Find the niche market you most closely associate with and begin to gather the names and email addresses.

If you'd like to know more please be a bit more specific with your questions.

Success and Regards... Mike
