Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I've found many model magazine advertisements quite useful. In the days before I had access to the internet, I especially appreciated advertisements that had photos of the products offered for sale. Many of my modeling purchases were based on these ads I had seen in magazines. In addition to this, these days, the ads are often useful as references to email/internet addresses. Remember too, not all small cottage companies have a web page. I agree that too many ads spoil a magazine. (Ever thumbed through one of your wife's COSMO mags?? 7000 pages of ads, and 3 pages of text!!) But I think carefully selected and well presented advertisements would be welcome. So much the better if the revenue keeps AFV in the black. Just keep the "scratch & sniff" perfume ads to minimum, Okay?
Just my two cents worth, unpopular though it may be,
(Let the shelling begin!)
