It's a funny old world sometimes -
A few weeks back I find a link introducing a brand new AFV mag on a Canadian website, so I decide to go against all my better judgement and subscribe online!

A week or two passes, and, as if by magic, I receive a shinny issue 1 of AFV Modeller.

Then I take a look at the post mark - Newcastle Upon Tyne!!!! Not only do I live just a few miles away I also worked about five doors down the road from your office!!

Anyway, lads, this is the mag we AFV modellers have been waiting for - clean layout, good clear photography and interesting articles - especially the King Tiger exhumation, keep up the excellent work (no popping down to the Quayside, you have work to do!!)

I'm currently building the monster, Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger - I keep you posted.

P.S. Does anyone out there know of any websites detailing various paint schemes for the King Tiger - I would like to try an alternative to the usual 3 tone scheme!

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,

well if you fancy popping round to the office in a week or so you can pick up issue 2 and be the first to get it...we can save on some postage too . Regarding the King Tiger camouflage scheme, we have something in the pipeline scheduled for issue 4 that should be of some interest....

cheers

Cheers Don,
Mission accepted!

Hold my mag back - I'll pop in after new year. Is there any day in particular (I don't want to cause any hassle etc...)

By the way, (and slightly off subject, but not much)
Has anyone discovered "Combat Mission - Beyond Overload" yet??? It's a PC/Mac game. Anyone who has an interest in AFV's (that's everyone then!!) shouldn't be without it!!

There is a Demo here - http://www.battlefront.com/

Cheers,
Mark
