Photos in Munch's 654 title (pg.157) show the 8.8cm L/71 ammo piled up in the fighting compartment. In completing this project did you become aware of an aftermarket company who produced an accessory set of this round?

Ammo

James the Jaguar interior gives you a whole stack of ammo, but this is the same gun as mounted in both the Jagdpanther and Tiger II so the Tamiya ammo sets along with others will also fit the bill.

8.8cm L/71 gun

Of course, Tamiya's Tiger II brass rounds!

You're also right about Jaguar. My interior arrived with 20. Because I will build the next one "knocked-out" or "in-action"; I think, I'll need more. Some to pile up by the gun and some spent rounds to cast around the rear hatch.

Thanks again for the articles; they are an excellent reference.

regards

James

belated addendem

November 15 2002, 11:35 PM

of course after finding out that Tamiya's King Tiger ammo was appropriate, I found out they were also "out of production"; until now that is... Hobby Link Japan seemed to recently get a restock. Now it seems I can dust off the Ferdinand project and proceed to the painting stage (where I will still have to wait for Archer Fine Transfers to release their s. Pz.jager, abt 654th dry transfer set).
