Turret basket... error??

May 20 2005, 7:02 PM

I've got photos of the Bovington Pz4 basket, plus unpublished diagrams... there is not a single pole at the front like this model shows. There is an N-shaped support. And it has some serious electrical boxes on it.

Could you put me in touch with Tristar, if you think they are interested in this information?

David

single pole?

Single pole? N-shaped bracket? Electrical boxes? Don't keep us in suspense, show us the photo to show us what you are talking about. As for getting in touch with Tristar, try their website?

Nice kit, I'll be getting one asap, but what's with the different colour plastic's? Is all this from the kit or is some of this from other kits?

Cheers
Henk

Afrika Korps "D" ?

May 24 2005, 9:02 PM

David,

Will the finished model represent an Afrika Korps vehicle - and will it feature in a future edition of AFV ?

Regards

Stirl

PS - Is the "Rommelkisten" included with the kit ?

David, thanks for the info - as you can see the turret basket is very rudamentary in the kit with only the basic detail suppied. With the kit about to be released at the beginning of June I doubt Tristar will want to mess with it now - no doubt the aftermarket boys will be happy to go to town on the insides.

Stirling, Yes the kit will be in issue 23 if all goes to plan. No the bin and engine deck grills are my additions and the mix of colours may just be the fact that this is a test shot - the grey plastic the wheels are moulded in was much easier to work with than the sand stuff which was a bit soapy

regards David
