Response to That stinks!
Bush-41 hurt the economy by breaking his pledge not to raise taxes and did, just as the entire Democratic Party plus Clinton/Gore wanted him to. Funny how liberals blame Bush and conveniently forget their support for the policy that screwed things up.
Then, the 'recession', short and shallow by previous standards, ended...in 1992, before the election. The recovery wasn't reported so Slick Wille got elected and then tried to destroy the economy with a pork laden budget that was rejected.
Then after lying through his teeth (imagine that! Clinton lying!) about a middle class tax cut, he raised taxes in summer 1993 and when they took effect the economy never again grew at the 4.5% - 5.0% rate that Bush left the country with.
Then he tried to saddle us with trillion $ a year deficits with his idiotic national socialist health care scheme, that was fortunately defeated.
But I've learned by now that Clinton supporters aren't interested in facts.
