I just read this info about Paul McCartney's new DVD. I hope we get something as extensive, or close to it, from Neil.

For the first time in his solo career, Paul McCartney is to release a DVD that candidly reveals the intimate backstage life on the road, alongside a 2-CD live set of his most triumphant tour since The Beatles.
The three-hour "rock `n road movie" will take fans right inside Paul McCartney´s acclaimed current tour, giving access to all areas previously kept private from the public -- going inside the dressing rooms, seeing scenes from the back seat of his personal limo and even aboard his chartered jet.
The "Back In The U.S." DVD will also include performances of Paul and his new band at sound check that have never been shown before -- plus footage of more than 30 classic songs filmed at shows all across America and presented in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound.
"This feels like a very special tour and because of that we wanted to film not only the great shows we've been enjoying but also reveal to people what we're doing when we're not doing the show. There are a lot of private moments on the DVD -- it'll be like a backstage pass to the intimate zones where most people never get," said Paul, who has just started "Back In The U.S.," the second leg of his 50-date American tour.
The "Back In The U.S." DVD will be released by Capitol Records on November 26th -- together with a "Back In the U.S." double CD.

Well Neil surrounds himself with some very savy people, so maybe they can come up with some really special film/songs.

I noticed Neil being taped when he was walking into the hotel after the Portland show. Maybe something similar is already in the works! (Hope so!) I wish that for every tour there was a video made from the New Years Eve show or from a bunch of different shows from around the world. There needs to be much more Neil on video! I was reading recently about how the Grateful Dead used to allow and encourage their fans to photograph, video and audio tape thier concerts and even allow them to hook up to their soundboard and record. If Neil and his management are not interested in giving us more Neil Live, for whatever reason(maybe Neil doesn't want to be taped from close-up becasue of his age or Sony doesn't think it would generate large enough sales)I wish they would give us the opportunity to do so as long as it wouldn't disturb the audience or the performers. When Neil stops touring someday (God Forbid!) we are all going to wish we had more recorded memories of Neil LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also hoping A&E will put out a DVD of Neil's Live by Request show from last year.
