My friend Lisa & I have always wanted to see Neil Diamond in
concert. We have seriously looked for nearby concerts up until about a year ago. Realizing Neal wasn't doing any concerts for quite sometime I just quit looking for them. In June of this year (2008) Lisa & I was planning a benefit for one of our dearest friends Tammy's husband who has been stricken with stage 4 colin cancer, during this planning Neil's music was brought up on how we wished we could of seen him in concert before he quit giving them (unaware of this year's tours). Well our benefit went well & we were able to help our friend out. About 2 weeks after the benefit I was on my way to work & I happen to be listening to one of our hometown radio stations & it said they were getting ready to give away Neil Diamond tickets. I really couldn't believe what I just heard but I was determined if this was so I was going to somehow win these tickets. Well in the next couple of seconds they announced if the 4th caller could identify the N.D, song they would win a pair of tickets to the Aug.29, 2008 concert in St. Louis. Long story short they played 4 notes & I was the 4th caller to the song Desiree. This is so totally unbelievable, when I told my friend Lisa we were going I thought she would never believe me. We both feel that we did a good deed & we were rewarded with our tickets to see our all time idol Neil Diamond!!! It would be so cool to meet Neil in person, but we know that will never happen we just feel blessed that we can see him in concert. Can't wait to see & hear your concert!!!
