Your right !

Thanks mel...your absoloutly right...I've intended to include a whole section on the current employment environment with as you say "current standards". Areas I am going to cover include interviews with employment agencies, current skills needs, minimum "real" requirements, well thought of training courses, how the agency process works etc. I plan on having components of my manual ( such as current pay rates) written in seperate files and loaded as linked objects so that I can easily update the material. I recognise that due to the enormous rate of change in the IT field that the material will need to be regularly updated.

Although can I add the point that my material is aimed at the novice who wants enough information to answer for themselves two key questions..
Do I want to enter the IT industry...and if Yes...How and where do I start the journey. I'm hoping my backend products will then provide very specific information on how to start a career in a specific area such as " programming" etc.

Am I going in the right direction or do you foresee some deep and muddy potholes ahead ?

Thanks..Greg
