sup guys (and girls), i've got my own ways of breaking in a pocket, like if it's mesh, you can get a pot and boil some water, when the water has started to boil you take some tongs or something to hold it with and you put the piece of mesh in the water, it doesn't burn it, well it hasn't for me, and then you let it dry, it gets hard but it takes less time to break in, also, wait for the mesh to dry and then start working with it, stretch it, wad it up, just mess around with it to make it softer and then string it, also i made a pocket pounder from a stick and a ball and a long screw and it works on breaking in too, once you have it strung just start pounding the mesh all over, and don't only do it from the front do it from the behind, do you guys have any other ways or things you do to break in a stick?

I'm kinda partial to my fist (With gloves on cause hard mesh kinda hurts my knuckles, it scratches 'em up)

Some guys here have a device like you mentioned. You take a large screw about the size of a stake, and ben the top half at 90 degrees. You then twist a flat peice of metal on the screw. Then you drill a hole in half a ball, and stick the other end in that. You can wedge it in your stick now, and just twist the top 90 degree part and it will push it further. I'll try to get a pic up of it. Didnt really think of that till now. Thanks

Does anybody else use the way I use? I take a paintstick, slide it in between the sidewalls, and push the ball underneeth it. I usually let it sit for a day, then i just take it all out and play with it. Let me know if any of you use this tecknique as well.

Well I'm a goalie so I can't but I think I know like two other people who do that. For the most part it seems like people seem like they love it or hate it but whatever...

Pocket screw

i bought a brine pocket screw, all it is is a screw with a ball shape on the end, it costs about $16. A friend told me to take a shower with my stick(strung) and stick soap and water on it to help break it in. That works really well. If you have soft mesh i dont suggest doing much with water because the mesh will shrink in water and it wont get bigger.
