You know, I hadn't even thought about the Runes! With the number of Nord men who were transferred to PE, unless you can ID the individuals it would be hard to call. Of course, odds are that if they aren't Nord men at the moment of that photo, then they were recently.

I think most, if not all of those photos from the Hochgebirges Schule are somewhat "generic." For example, when I graduated from MCRD San Diego, there were a number of 'canned' photos in there, showing various aspects of boot camp. Those photos are in everyone's books, then they just add in shots they got of us.

I've seen several of those photos in other books, so I don't think you can attribute them to a particular unit, or even a time. Unfortunately, we can't ask Steurich about it.
