Just a little info.
After visiting www.lascofittings.com
who by the way make alot of pvc stuff you can use on your projects, anyway according to their data in the tech portion of their website.
Pressure ratings in a closed system drop 50% when a threaded fitting is added ie. 240 max press is reduced to 120 rating.
This info has caused me to reduce the number of threaded fittings in my cannon design.

That manufacturer recomends thread sealent over teflon tape. The tape makes it easier to turn the fitting so the tendency is to over tighten fittings.
Which is what causes 98% of fitting leaks.

Bear in mind they also recomend not using pvc for pressurized air or gases so Take it for what it's worth.
