Another way to get a decent spark is using an automobile ignition coil. Read up on them before you go hooking the wires up -- they will downright shock the crap out of you. Just screw some machine screws into the chamber and zap away. No need for an expensive stun gun, just go get a junk yard to dig a coil out.
