Thanks for the nice comments, Maggie! The real dream to me is the way Loretta has just come on board 100%. She volunteered to walk Jingles with Taz and me on Sunday, then asked if we could walk 30 minutes earlier than normal this morning so she could join us again. And, she is talking about taking Jingles to an obedience class. I am extremely supportive of all this, but am not instigating it. It is all Loretta! Woo hoo!
Now we have noticed something odd (to us) tonight. When I got home from work, Loretta told me about an observation that worried her. Jingles was asleep when Taz walked into the room. He walked up to her and sniffed an ear. Whether this startled Jingles we don't really know. But she was quick to lay back the ears and snap out very seriously. When Loretta told me about this, I couldn't believe it. But, later this evening, I saw it replayed myself. Man, she was serious and Taz interpreted it the same! He move quickly away from her and left her alone. A moment later, Jingles came to me and gave me a lick as if nothing had happened. Of course, nothing had happened between me and her. This was not a playful snip, IMO.
So, should I be cautious of leaving the two of them together when we are at work. We've been doing that and so far so good. Tonight is the first time either of us has witnessed anything like this. Don't know if it will be a pattern or really what it means. I'm stumped.
