I would not dream of leaving one behind. I walk Lucas and Sage together every time I walk them. If I am lucky enough to have someone with me that might help that is nice.
I don't know how you define success but to me, the dogs enjoy the walk and so do I. I let them walk loosely so they can go sniff and check stuff out. They can walk nicely at my side if I want, only thanks to watching Cesar. Do you get his show? If so, check it out... he has great tips. When I require the dogs to walk nicely at my side I have walked one on one side, the other on the other side or sometimes both on one side, they are not allowed to stop, sniff or anything. It's all about what YOU want them to do. I'd give it a try John.
