Minneapolis, MN - February 17, 2000. The Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society launches the first DIVE INTO THE PAST, Twin Cities Shipwreck & SCUBA Show.
Duluth has the Gales of November, Chicago & Milwaukee have the Ghost Ships of the Past weekend. Now, the Twin Cities has its own exciting program for shipwreck hunters, maritime history buffs and scuba enthusiasts. Hosted by the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society, (GLSPS), learn what historic treasures are hidden underwater in Minnesota lakes and rivers at DIVE INTO THE PAST Twin Cities Shipwreck & SCUBA Show. The program will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2000, at the Roseville Area High School, 1240 County Road B2 W, Roseville, MN 55113.
Between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm, presentations will be offered by:
Several area groups will have information booths and demos including; Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Going Under Dive Center, Northland Divers, Smith Diving, Minnesota DNR, Maritime Gallery.
Admission: adults $7.00, students $5.00,
children 12 & under $3.00.
