A GREAT comeback with some EXCELLENT coaching on the part of Lizards Roger Neilson saw The Schultz win 3 out of the last 4 games in the tourny, 1 against EACH other Division, to claim 2ND PLACE in The AST!!!
A FAR cry from DEAD LAST last season, after having been favoured to run away with it.
Had not there been a slight "error" (an oversight that was no one's fault, really) in The Semenko playing goalie Marcel Couisineau for a 4TH STRAIGHT GAME - (he was well warmed up when he SHUT-OUT The Schultz in their 4th game - bummer) maybe they could have taken THAT one too!!! Oh, but what MIGHT HAVE BEEN !!!
But in the end, I'd say 2nd place is DAMN FINE for our Division, and The Schultz GM's to a one should be proud of The Schultz Division team players, & Lizards GM David Easton and Head Coach Roger Neilson and Assistant Coach Darryl Sittler for pulling it off!
