A point about your team quality

Your team's quality is based on the salaries, as calculated by HLS2. It isn't based on your team's performance. Let me illustrate the importance of this with a smaller example.

You have two players, Player Joe and Player Jim.
Jim's ratings: 99999999999 - 99
Joe's ratings: 88888888888 - 88

Now, at the end of NSHL7, we have a look at these players' stats:
Jim 40G 40A 80P +25
Joe 50G 50A 100P +35

Now, when it is all said and done, the question is this:

Who is the better player?

Answer: Jim!

And this is exactly how the team quality works. HLS2's system of calculating the salary might be arguable, but that is really irrelevant. The fact is, a team's quality can only be determined one way. It has nothing to do with how the simulator treats your team during the course of a season, or how you manage your lines. It has everything to do with the cold, hard facts related to your final roster. Those numbers do not change. It's that simple.

I hope this helps make this system of determining the waiver draft order more understandable.

Now, as for the waiver draft itself, I'm not sure we actually need it. A movement was afoot recently to get it removed immediately, but the support was far from overwhelming. We will definitely be going through the process at least for this season. Once we've gone through it once, we may have a clearer picture of it's merit (or lack of merit).

Thanks,
Ace
