There is a league

or there definitely was a league that had some sort of farm system going. There, the farm players would get rerated based on their performance ion the farm - say if a player did well, he would be HLS2 rerated to become a good player. This is how a team could produce superstars - by "training" t them in the minors. This worked really well. However, after a while the major league had very good or good players. Now, if we do something like that, I would suggest to abolish protection from the rerating whatsoever. A player gets rerated on what he deserved. In fact, once I finish programming our rerater, we will have a lot of flexibility in defining what it is that a player deserves. Doing this will
1. Prevent the saturation of the league with great superstars
2. Increase the value of the minor league
3. Make the season very interesting

One more feature that we can do is to rerate a player at the time that he moves from minors to majors. Say a player X sucks in majors. You send him to the minors to recondition for 10 or more games. When you call him back, his ratings are recalculated based on the last 10 games played.

Just a few possibilities that could spice things up.
