Ah yes, just as the NHL eliminated 4 on 4 years ago to try and stop the mighty Oilers, so too do the factions within the NSHL attempt to cage the Psychos!
I could agrue this for paragraphs, but I will spare you...
1) Change after season has started and strategy planned is bad form to me. It sure would have changed my draft and my offseason activities.
2) The argument against using players in whatever fashion you choose seems to rest with a sense that realism is being compromised...aside from the fact that Fa doesn't seem that important, I say poppycock!
Anybody ever hear somebody say, "Boy, they should put Housley at wing, cuz he's a shitty D."???
Well, same goes for Al MacInnis on LC.
3) LC are the Neely Cup Champs, but it wasn't easy by any stretch...upsets not allowed??
4) Without s/s, fledgling teams have a hard time rerating players...shouldn't everybody at least have a chance? If all a guy plays are 5 players, then he is not making his team all that great, is he?
5) How do you know that this system can't be beat legit? Or if everybody did this, then I would be disadvantaged, I would think. Besides, you can only dress 6 LW's...check my lines...right now I use 3. (though that could change! If I can run my team how I choose, that is)
6) Traders, Infantry, Muffs, etc. are too far in front talent wise for anybody like Terrors, Beagles, or even your Neely Cup Champion Psychosis to ever catch up...anybody remember the last few drafts???
More players have value in the league...should we all lose until we can get a half dozen 90's players? Now, teams thought of of dregs have some guys they can trade.
I'm sick of this (and that ws the short version!! heh heh)
But, I guess time will tell...
But, either way...
